Santa María de Còll is one of the Romanesque churches in the Boí Valley, which received the UNESCO World Heritage designation in 2000.
The church has one nave, a ground plan in the shape of a classic Latin cross and a semi-circular apse in the sanctuary. The nave is covered by a barrel vault which is supported by two transverse arches. The apse is covered by a quarter-sphere vault. The doorway that leads to the temple is flanked by a double series of columns, sculpted capitals, chequered archivolts and an ornate wood carving of Christ. The bell tower has a square ground plan, with two Gothic-style floors added at the top.
