Templar site.
On entering Aracena, this Templar church stands on top of a small hill.
This old Templar church in the Gothic style dates from the 13th century. It stands on a hillock beside Aracena Castle. It is the oldest parish in the district, and can be classified as a church-fortress. The Las Maravillas grotto lies underneath the limestone hill on which the building stands.
