The convent was built in the 18th century in a Baroque style with clear Churrigueresque influences. The main front has a series of columns with compounded capitals and finished off with a segmented pediment under a balcony. Nowadays its is the site of San Jorge Exhibition Hall and the Regional Ministry for Culture and Heritage of Extremadura's autonomous regional government.
