It is situated in the main square and belonged to the Order of Santiago. It was built at the end of the 15th, beginning of the 16th century as an extension of the Tentudía Monastery. It has been declared a Monument of National Historic Artistic Interest. Its main reredos is by Eduardo Acosta and has eight paintings representing the four evangelists and scenes from the battle of Tentudia. It is topped by the equestrian sculpture of the Apostle Saint James. The cloister has two storeys. The most important monastery buildings are on the ground floor. Outstanding among them is the Chapter House.
