This traditional celebration has been held on the last Sunday in July every year since 1959.

The festivity is dedicated to the vaqueiros or cattle-herders (an Asturian group with deeply-rooted traditions and ancestral customs, devoted primarily to migratory cattle herding). The festival includes a real vaqueira wedding, in which the bride and groom come to the ceremony dressed in the typical vaqueiro costume, followed by the bridal bed and trousseau, transported on carts. During the day, there is also traditional dancing to music played on the typical instruments of the area.
