The International Children’s and Youth Film Festival is held in different cinemas around Madrid.

This is the only event dedicated exclusively to films aimed at children and teenagers which have not been shown in mainstream Spanish cinemas. The festival is divided into various sections: the official selection (films included in the competition), the informative section and a retrospective. Another feature of this event is that children and youngsters can take part as judges in the selection of winners of the Tambores de Hojalata awards.
