The Novacaixagalicia Foundation, in Santiago de Compostela, presents this exhibition with paintings of landscapes in Flanders and Holland during the 17th century.
The exhibition includes a collection of paintings combining different types of landscapes mainly from the Low Countries in the 17th century. There are also examples of "Italianising landscapes" - a variety created by young Nordic painters who settled in Rome. Some of the artists featured in the exhibition are Rubens, Jan Brueghel the Elder, Joos de Momper the Younger, David Teniers and Claudio de Lorena. 52 paintings in total are displayed, from the Prado Museum in Madrid.
