A good place for trade.
This is the greatest expression of Aragonese Renaissance.
It was built in the 16th century, by order of Hernando de Aragón, using Juan de Sariñena's design. It was an attempt to provide the city with a civil public place where merchants could carry out their commercial transactions so they could stop using the cathedral and other churches for this purpose. The building, with a rectangular plan, was constructed in brick.
