Isabel of Portugal's last residence (wife of Charles V)
Built in the fifteenth century by the first count of Fuensalida. The house's heraldic shields appear on the building's façade.
It is one of the finest examples of palatial Mudejar architecture from Toledo, with clear Gothic influences. The building revolves around a Mudejar style courtyard with brick pillars and bases, and an ancient staircase that leads to the Moor's Workshop with its ornate coffered Plateresque designs from the sixteenth century. On the sides of the doorway there are lion sculptures that sit astride of some columns. Site of the Autonomous Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha.
