The Reina Sofía, a museum for everyone
Have fun with the whole family and learn all about art in the Reina Sofia National Art Museum. Visit any Sunday from September to June and take part in the permanent programme created specially for families. This will help you learn all about its numerous masterpieces (including universally famous works such as Picasso’s Guernica), and you will be given an information guide which will teach you to interpret them and will guide you on an itinerary through the museum. After the whole family has talked about what each creation means to them, you will see a puppet show, for example, which will bring the works you have just seen to life. Every year there is a brand new programme, and the temporary children's activities available at the Reina Sofía Museum also include multiple proposals for every season of the year: storytellers, film screenings, creative workshops so children can learn the techniques used by the artists or create their own films, treasure hunts through the halls of the museum…
