Chillida-Leku
is a different, and very special museum. A large part of Eduardo Chillida's work can be found here, in this large beech and oak forest. It is the culmination of a dream, a project that has turned this part of Hernani into the perfect place to get to grips with the meaning behind the Basque sculptor's work.
Just twelve kilometres from the centre of San Sebastián - Donostia , this special museum is a work of art in itself, where unique, monumental sculptures display their most authentic personality. Delve into this huge open-air museum. Have a wander, and discover artistic creations that invite admiration as well as contemplation and reflection. When you get to the heart of this forest of culture, you will come across another of the museum's treasures, a large 16th century farmhouse, completely refurbished by the artist, where you can see various smaller sculptures, along with drawings and sketches.
