Mugaritz in Basque means bordering oak tree. It lies in a renovated farmhouse. Visits should be made during the day, which is the best time to be able to appreciate the beautiful natural surroundings around this exceptional restaurant. If you do not know the way it is very easy to get lost, especially if you try to get there at evening. The decor is a mix of contemporary and classical styles. It has a wonderful set menu. Excellent wine list. The wines are grouped by characteristics and not by Denomination of origin or region. If requested a menu can be taken as a souvenir. It also has a herb garden.
