Built on high ground in the south of Aragon, Teruel preserves an important medieval legacy in its historic centre. The cathedral tower, along with those of San Salvador, San Martín and San Pedro are the jewels of a group of Mudejar monuments declared a World Heritage Site.

 | Local cuisine | |
| Traditional Aragonese cookery, in which the quality of the raw materials takes precedence over the sophistication of the dishes. A variety of vegetables, oil from Empeltre, excellent lamb, sausages, salted meats - above all ham with the Teruel Denomination of Origin - and a diversity of fruits, like peaches from Calanda, are excellent culinary references. | |
