Building annexed to the cathedral of Barcelona in which is housed the Diocesan Museum.
It has two distinct sections: one Gothic and the other Renaissance. It holds the Diocesan Museum.
The first record of Pia Almoina House dates back to 935, when it was built as a residence for the canons of the order of San Agustin. It was demolished in 1400 and rebuilt a few years later in the same place as an area dedicated to charitable works. It currently has two distinct sections: one being Gothic (built around 1435), and the other Renaissance that was added subsequently in 1546. It currently houses the Diocesan Museum, and shares its Romanesque and Gothic heritage with the church. The last modification was made in 1989.
