Huesca Museum

Huesca

From prehistory to Goya

Founded at the end of the 19th century, it is located in the old Sertoriana University, a civil construction in Baroque style.

Archaeology and Fine Art are the museum's mainstays, with items that go from prehistoric times through to medieval statues. There are also remains from the old Roman necropolis of Coscujuela de Fantova, along with Iberian artefacts. Furthermore, it has a collection of canvasses dating from the 15th-20th centuries. Special mention here should be made of the Gothic paintings and panels, lithographs from Goya's "Bulls of Bordeaux" series, and the complete works of Ramón Acín. The old Royal Palace building, alongside the museum, is used for temporary exhibitions.
